Consequences of sleep deprivation among nurses at critical care units in Al-Najaf city

Sleep deprivation is a major public health challenge in modern societies. The current study aims to assess the level of sleep nurses critical care units, reveal consequences deprivation, and characterize relationship between them with demographic data nurses. A descriptive design has been performed study. It carried out units hospitals city Najaf from October 20, 2021 March 2022. Non-probability technique (purposive) samples (163) for night shifts selected. Measurement through scale modified by expert committee, general status was determined General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) consisting (28) items, it includes four aspects: physical, social, depression, anxiety. results have shown that moderate. also revealed assessment most domains (physical, anxiety) moderate, except domain which good.
